The last one

Well finally i made it to the end and i would like to say that i did with a good movie, but honestly it wasn't the case, cause this last movie was like "meh", how we say in the industri a "flop".
i heard so many times about this movie, but never has the oportunity to watch and i i was so glad :(. Now that i already saw i can do the review, so here we go.

Image result for invictus movie

1. Who is your favorite character from the film?
But the first time in this course i didn't like any of the characters hahahah, i can't fnd someone to talk about, or stand out from the rest, cause to me everthing was so fake, so "hollywoodensis" (yeah i create that word). I don't know how i can explane but i was like "the white people were good persons" "the footbal its amazaing" "everithing it's okey". Obviosuly comparing with the other movies this is so bad, maybe if a didn't saw the other o would say "oh amazing movie" but no, cuase right now we know what happened, they even now  aren't good, so this movie is so fake to me, that i can't pick any character cause i don't like at all u_U sorry.

2.  How does this film compare to all the other films we have seen in class?
If i can describe the others i can say, like "real", "raw", "suffer", "history" but now i can say "fake", "hollywood", "withetrash", "futboll". I think that the base for this type of movies is tell the people the history about Mandela or the history of the "end of the apartheid", but i didn't saw that contents in this movie, maybe they wanted to do something nice to withe peple that din'dt know about the apartheid but i don't know honestly.
Another thing that makes me laugh and is different about the other is the final that in invictus is like "after de storm came the rainbow" and everyone is happy, but in the others movies we've seen that wasn't the truth cause they still got problems in the economic area, south africa still being one of the most unequal places in the world, so please dn't try to sold us that idea.

3. Would you considered this film a educative film and would you recommend it to someone? Why/Why Not?
Maybe? cause if not we would not talking about her and you teach us hahaha. Not but seriously i think it works to do an comparison and contrast, cause we can se the different point of view, cause one of them has made it by black people and obviosly invictus was made it by a withe guy. Just because of that i can consider educative but honestly i think there are a lot of better movie to show in a couse so i didn't wasted my time in invictus (i already did but whatever haha)

Well this is the end of this couse, i really enjoy it a lot cause everytime that i got a oportunitty to learn something new i take it, in this was one oe that things, so i hope i can take the next couse to keep learn new things.

1. In general, what did you like and dislike about the film?

I like a lot of things, the first one was the way in the story was told, for me was good, i didn't feel that was to fast or to slow so was good.
Another thing was the friendship that the club has it between them cause was really real o cute, they helped echa other every time that they got the oportunity and also they support when one of them has succes with their own projects and thats is amazing.
I like so much the "violence" but in the good sense, i mean, i think thats is so important to show what really happened and not triyng to decorate with little things, ans this movie did that, show the world how rude was living in that.

What i don't like is this dramatic thing about relationships of love, i don't think that was necesesary, cause so many times lost the focus of the real inttentions of the movie, so thank u next with that.
(i know that i shouldn't say this but the performance of the actors was'nt so good but whatever)

2.  How does the film make you think about your future role as journalists and film makers/producers/creators/directors?

This questin really make me feel bitersweet cause honestly i hope that i can do another thing exept jounalist hahaha, maybe is a little weird but i undertsand myself. Well i think that is very important that the journalist know the power that they had, basically they had evern more power that, i dont know everything?? they can do the things masive, the can control de people, they are the ones who make the world change cause they has the place to do.
The truth is important, the real things has to be massive, the journalist are importants, so take care of what you doing.

3. How have the dreams from the anti-apartheid struggle played out since the ANC has been in power?
I think that we have to stay present that maybe is impossible fix all the problems and struggles that a country has to deal all the time, the troubles aren't gonna disappear in 20 years, so obviously South Africa Still have problems, but that doesn't mean that they aren´t moving on or did a lot tot fo things, maybe in economy thet still have things to fix, but honestly i can see that they aren't the same persons that they use to be in the apartheid.
I think their dreams maybe faded away cause they don't see a lot of changes, and thats maybe also the reason why the anc dropped on the national vote in 60% cause they don't truste them anymore.

Hi everyone it's me again. Today we're gonna tal about the movie review of the movie "cry a freedom". Honestly i like a lot, but for me was so difficult to pay attetion two hours hahaha always ,y problem with the movies is that i can't focus myself for so many time :(, but whatever that does't matter. Here we go with the review.

Cry Freedom.jpg

1. Who was your favorite character from the film? Why?

Honestly i never like to pick the main characters as my favourites cause for me its kinda expected, but in this case i can't no pick them cause was really relevant and what they did was so major and important. With this i'm tring to say that my favourites characters are Steve Biko and his firend Donald Woods. Hi really enjoy it a lot the firendship about both of them and the way was happened that.
Teh things that Donald did after the deadh of Steve was also amazing, brave and honestly this weren't like the others movies when they trying to clean the image of the wtithe guy, in here felt different i think this was more honest i don't know how to express that haha.
Obvisuly we have to talk about all the contribution that Steve did for his country, even not being part of any big organization.

2. What was your favorite scene from the film? Why?

I think that my favourite scene is not the big deal but i really like i lot and was at the begginig the first time when the girl (that i don't remeber her name right now) went to the office of Wood and call him out. The passion and sometimes the fury of all the things that she told him was really inspire.
Another scene that i like was the first time that Wood search Biko in that place where the people was working in so many different things.
The last one was all the scene when we have the chance to saw the beatifull place were the movie was shoot i mean, Zimbabwe, cause the past year i did a task about that and the goverment about Zimbabwe so i knew a lot about the politic thing but no about the beatifull place.

3. How does the film differ from the other films? Use the article from The Guardian to help you

I think principal is different cause of all the movie, Biko was the first one to not participate in the ANC or another movement, so the things that he did was for his count and thats is so brave cause sometimes you need someone to cover your back.
And also cause we can see the apartheid in another country of South Africa and not just the country of Mandela, Zimbabwe has a lot of things to tell us about history so is good to see the black fight for another point of view.

Third review: Catch a fire

Well first at all, i want to say that actually this is my favourite movie of the 3 we saw, cause it's even more raw, more explicit, and more amazing just because of that.
Don't get me wrong, the other movies were amazing but this is more stronger about the scenes so i like it mor.

1.-In general, what did you like and dislike about the film?
Honestly i like a lot the movie, and what i like the most was that they don't hide nothing, they show us the crude reality. In another movies we saw that but i don't think that in the way that Catch the fire does.
Because of that my favourite scenes were two, the fisrt was when the "bad guys" taken the little child and force him to see how they beat Patrick.
And the second was when all of them was listened Bob marley music, eating and occking and later they was attacked.
I don't how i can explain myself, but this type os scene are so raw that make me feel even more empathic with the pain and the suffer.

PD: another amazing scene was hen Patrick and Precious  hug each other and says sorry for all the things.

Right now i can't think in something that i dislike, cause even the narrative is good haha.

2.- Who was the character you like the most and the character you liked the least in the film? Why?
Maybe you hate with this but i want to say that this is my favoruite character beacuse i really feel his interpretation, i really believe his performance, i saw the hate, the anger, so makes me felt so uncomfortable, so just to be clear, its about his performance and not because his role and the movie.
My favoruite character is Nic vos hahaha. Obviusly i hate and dislike everything that he does, but that doesn't mean thta i hate the ole perfomance cuase he is such an amazing actor:((((

I don't have a least favoruite character but the one that cause my conflic was Patrick, because yeah he was a big important part of the movie, but in his personal life he wasn't the best, so that makes me feel so torn about his persona. Yeah he was this heroe but he did bad things too specially to precious, But whatever at least they say sorry to each other and both can forget.

3.- What was the role of Samora Machel, the FRELIMO, and revolutionary Mozambique in the struggle against the South African apartheid? Use examples from the film and the biography of Samora Machel
Samora and the Frelimo were so important to the movement and the revolitonary against the apartehid cause they fight and let that people training in their camps so they can be ready or prepare to anithyng.
Samora its important cause he prepare the first atack of FRELIMO, so obviosly his role was to be one of the revolutionarty that did amazing things to help his country and trying to end the apartheid, also de FRELIMO and the revolutionaru Mozambique, cause they search the same.

Second review: GoodBye Bafana

Hi everyone it's me again with my second review of the course. In yhis case i'm gonna talk you about the movie "Goodbye Bafana".
I really enjoy the movie, actually i dind't have any expectations with the film but really surprisme cause was so good and cute, the story behind catch my attetion and thats is so difficult so the movie was great just because of that hahaha.

Well lets talk about the things....

1.-What did i like or dislike about the movie.
In general i like the hole movie cause was really amazing saw the other side of the story of Mandela's in jail. we've seen the life of mandela but never saw the persons who helped him when he was on jail, so now was really interesting saw that side with the main character of this movie.
I like the characters cause they changing in the whole story their minds so is great understand why the characters act in the way they act at the end and in the beginning.
Also i love seen the life in the jail cause in the original story we dind´t have the chance to saw so good that part.

The thing that i dind't like was that they don't went so deep into the friendship between Bafanna and the protagonist and i think that that was one of the most strong point of the chnage of Gregory, was the factor that makes Gregory Helped Mandelas so i was so dispointed that they don´t show us so much more about they friendship ., in that way we maybe could understand a lot the things that happend on Gregorys mind.

2.-My favourite charcater and the less favourite.
In this maybe you are gonna be disagree with me, but whatever it's my review hahahaha jk.
My favourite characters was the Gregory's wife, why? is so simple. i like a lot the characters that aren't static, i mena, is so boring see always the good person play the good person, or the bad one beeing always the bad one in the whole story, i like that she was changing her mind, firts being and triyng to be this withe girl, perfect wife, with a fake perfect family, so later see her in the movement when Mandela was put on free was so great, she understand what was the real problem.

My less favourite character was Winnie mandela HAHAH, in the past review i love her cause the movie makes me love her, so now see her like "nothing" was meh, i create myself i really amazing image of her so now in this movie was so boring her role, and i know that this is the other story of Madelas life, but Winnie was something very important so obvsiouly a feel so dispointed with her in this movie, i didnpt see the fire of Winnie Mandela :(.

3.-Compare the characters of the movies.
Gregory: Well in the first movie we've seen him but like any other kind militar that was helping Mandela, if we never saw the Goddbye Bafana i never knew that Gregorys was important in the first movie, in conclusion he was so "meh" in the first movie, but in second was amazing cause we understand why the militar ware so kind with Mandela.

Mandela: Honestly i don't think that theres so much diferences between Mandela in the two movies, he was this hero of the story, the revolutionary, he was excactly the same, maybe i little bit wild in Goodbye Bafana, but so similar in both movies.

Winnie: Well i talk about her before and obvisuly in the first movie she was the main character, amazing, strong, a fighther, honestly one of the best characters, but in Goddbye Bafanana i expected so much more about her and they give NOTHING. I think that winnie was the character that change a lot between the movies :(.

Well thats all for today i really recomenden the movie, was good seeing another side of the Mandela story :D

First movie review: Mandela's History

First movie review: Mandela's History

First i want to say that i really enjoy it the movie, i was so into "criticizing a book for its cover" just because it was a movie about two hours, but really was very fast the time that i take to saw this movie. Maybe because i didn't know so much about the MAndela's life i thought that i was not going to like it, but no, now i feel more samrt hahha.

1. In general, what did you like and dislike about the film?
As an frustrated actor i really enjoy it the performance of the characters, i really believe everything that i was seeing in the movie, specially on of the main characters to me, Winnie, i think that she defnitely stole my attetion and everything, she was so strong, powerfull and the way that she make me feel with her performance was amazing i love her!!!!.
The thing that i don't like was when they use "real material" for the manifestations and thats things, i understand what they want to do and show us with that but for me was kinda "mmmm na kill the fantasy about this movie" you know what i mean?

2. In your own words, how would you compare the "various Mandelas;" the ones from the article and the one from the film?
I feel kinda torn with this, cause i really like it the mandelas movie and how he was, so was bittersweat read later that exist an another mandela so different in the way that he was. But i think honestly that doesn't exist two mandelas, i mean in the conext that he was be in obviously theres so many things that you have to do and otheres that you have to left and miss, for example when in the article say he was a bad familiar, how you could be a good one if you don't even know the people that actually your family? in this career i undertsand and learn that you can't no separate the person with the conext and i feel that this article does that.

3. What was the role that Winnie Mandela played in the film? Think about the contrast between her and the other ANC members.
I have to be honest, i didn't know nothing about the person of winnie and i kinda sorprise about her activist and everything that she does for her people, and al, the things that she has to suffer, she was for me one of the top hings that i can rescue of the movie, i really connect with her and understand completely her position and point of view that was so different in comparison of her ex husband.
She played a role of  a empowerment women, cause if being "black" was difficult just thinking in being a "black women", she really gave hope to the people when they started to lose it so i think that everything that she does is very important to the history and the politics of africa.
And she was diferrent cause she wants another ways to make the differents, more violent, more radical, but again we have to understand that she suffer so much more than the other people in the anc.

4.4. How do you compare the role of Nelson Mandela and the African National Congress in the struggle against the apartheid and in the post-apartheid South Africa to the ConcertaciĆ³n and their role in the struggle against Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship and in post-dictatorial Chile?
I think about this a lot cause i realy want to find something in common or somenthing very strong but i can't, obviously is so similar, i mean two goverment that segregate person just because of them color skins or political opinions, but the diferrence to me is that in Chile theres no exist an icon to define the fight, i mean when we think in dictartorship of our country we alredy think in Pinochet, the bad guy of this history, but when we think in the revolution in african we think in mandelas, the good one. In chile we don't have a lider, we have a bunch of people tired of the horribles ways that pinochet has it the country.
I think that obvoiusly we can compare the roles of mandelas and the concertation cause are opponents to the bad goverments and dictatorship in our case.
I can say that i the end of the day we should compare the roles of the people and not the most "iconic" person in this revolution jeje.

Well i think thats this is everything, i hope you like it in the way that i like the movie!!!!
